Maybe I'm a little weird, though! But, that's another topic entirely!Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00920051989130675943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6437380283727942572.post-6640006673538076202011-05-26T18:57:13.646-06:002011-05-26T18:57:13.646-06:00In my opinion, doing what he did to himself isn...In my opinion, doing what he did to himself isn't more acceptable just because he did it with a flourish. The story would have been more redeemable in my eyes if he would have seen that he had a chance to forgive himself and be given a second try. But it was an intriguing plot line, because once I figured out what was happening I was asking myself 'what would I have done in that situation?'Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03516001136763223466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6437380283727942572.post-65539808135066423222011-05-25T11:10:50.713-06:002011-05-25T11:10:50.713-06:00I understand he was suffering but I didn't thi...I understand he was suffering but I didn't think he served the purpose he was intended to serve. Would what he did make his wife proud of him? Or would she want hin to commit his life to improving the lives of others by making a more "human" choice. Life is always full of choices but I still believe he had more to live for and he chose the path of lest resistance.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05613356999280137160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6437380283727942572.post-53080207057853117592011-05-25T10:57:32.653-06:002011-05-25T10:57:32.653-06:00I guess I just felt like he "wanted" to ...I guess I just felt like he "wanted" to suffer. I think that's obvious by some of the things he did to himself. He was feeling extremely guilty with how everything had turned out. Finding happiness wasn't in his plans and he didn't know what to do when that happened - and I think he was feeling like he'd be letting all of the others - and himself - down, too, even though they knew nothing of his plans. I also think he didn't know if a new relationship was the right thing to do - and if it was fair to her if he eventually did go through with it... Just my opinion... So many angles to look at!Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00920051989130675943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6437380283727942572.post-25473799818157343362011-05-24T14:21:11.280-06:002011-05-24T14:21:11.280-06:00So just because this is such a debated movie I tho...So just because this is such a debated movie I thought I would chime in. I agree with Christy. It seemed like he was forcing himself to suffer even though he had found happiness. I was very depressed after watching it. And that is saying a lot because Will Smith is one of my favorite actors :)Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03516001136763223466noreply@blogger.com
